What is it you're doing?

- I am creating a digital model of the infamous R.M.S. Titanic.

Is this Titanic: Honor and Glory?

- No. I am not, in any way, associated with Titanic: Honor and Glory or the team producing it.

 

What are your plans for this?

- Ideally, I'd like to make a virtual tour where you can walk around the decks. Ultimately this is a portfolio piece and learning experience for me in order to advance my 3D modeling/animation skills.

Will there be any interiors?

- Probably not. The Titanic is a massive ship with lots of features and details. I'm pretty much solely focusing on the exteriors. That's not to say I'm completely throwing out the idea of making any interiors but I wouldn't hold my breath for it if I were you.

What are your plans for the virtual tour?

- Of course, there would be the base exploring the ship. Other ideas include a tour guide narration, tours of both the ship at Southampton dock (most likely a dock inspired by it anyway) and at sea, as well as simple collectibles that will give you more information about the ship. I'd also really like to bring it to VR.

What are you using to make this?

- Several blueprints and plans as well as help from various members of the Titanic modeling community.

When will this be completed?

- I have no idea. This is mainly a side project being done in my spare time so it depends heavily on when and how often I'm able to work on it.
 

How far along are you?

- Once again, no idea. It's a big ship and I haven't taken the time to figure out how much work there is or how much of that work I've done and as time goes on I may find more things/details to add. I'll try to post updates on the updates page here.
 

Why has it been so long since your latest update?

- My memory sucks. I get distracted by life stuff. Insert whatever excuse here.
